FAQ
D4T is Rematics' AI-driven monitoring system for waste collection vehicles. It combines industrial cameras, edge AI and cloud software to automatically recognise waste streams during every lift, detect contamination and gather objective data for reporting and optimisation.
Cameras capture the waste as the container is emptied. AI analyses the images immediately on the vehicle and recognises different waste fractions, contamination and hazardous materials. The results are sent automatically to the Daisy platform.
D4T recognises more than thirty waste fractions and can be extended further. The system distinguishes PMD, paper, cardboard, plastic film, metal, wood, textiles and other waste streams, among others.
Yes. D4T detects lithium batteries, gas bottles, fire extinguishers and other hazardous objects. On detection, the system can issue an immediate alert, limiting risks during transport and processing.
Yes. Its modular architecture allows D4T to be integrated on different types of collection vehicles, regardless of the collection system.
A standard installation takes less than four hours. The rugged hardware is designed for fast integration with minimal vehicle downtime.
Yes. D4T is built for demanding industrial conditions such as vibration, dust, changing light and varying weather.
All data is collected in the Daisy platform. A single dashboard gives users access to real-time monitoring, reports, trends, maps and historical analyses.
The platform provides insight into contamination levels, waste streams, hotspots, customer performance, real-time fleet information, operational KPIs and historical trends.
Rematics' D4T automates and improves visual inspection, reduces administrative work, delivers objective data and supports well-founded customer conversations. Processes become more efficient and sorting quality improves.
Yes. Objective data per customer, location or collection round delivers valuable insights, both short term and long term. Targeted awareness campaigns and customer advice can be set up and monitored.
Absolutely. D4T helps local authorities and inter-municipal organisations understand waste streams better, increase recycling and support policy decisions with data.
Yes. D4T is developed in line with applicable privacy legislation. The technology focuses on waste detection and operational insights, and processes only relevant data.
Yes. The Daisy platform can be connected to existing ERP and other software systems, so data flows easily into current processes.
Rematics combines its own hardware, edge AI, cloud software and deep waste sector knowledge in one integrated end-to-end solution that is rugged, scalable and reliable.
D4T is built for waste collectors, inter-municipal organisations, recycling companies, industrial waste collectors, local authorities and smart city organisations that want to work data-driven.
