Our team is happy to think along with you about sorting quality, safety and data-driven waste management.

About D4T

D4T is the AI-driven monitoring system from Rematics for waste collection vehicles. It combines industrial cameras, edge AI and cloud software to automatically recognise waste streams, detect contamination and collect objective data for reporting and optimisation during every emptying.

While a container is being emptied, cameras record the waste. AI analyses the images immediately on the vehicle and recognises different waste fractions, contamination and hazardous materials. The results are automatically sent to the Daisy platform.

D4T recognises more than thirty waste fractions and can be extended further. The system distinguishes PMD, paper, cardboard, plastic film, metal, wood, textiles and other waste streams, among others.

Yes. D4T detects gas cylinders, nitrous oxide canisters, fire extinguishers and other hazardous objects, among others. When something is detected, the system can issue an alert immediately so that risks during transport and processing are reduced.

Rematics combines its own hardware, edge AI, cloud software and in-depth knowledge of the waste sector in one integrated end-to-end solution that is robust, scalable and reliable.

Technology & installation

Yes. Thanks to its modular architecture, D4T can be integrated on different types of collection vehicles, regardless of the collection system.

A standard installation takes less than four hours. The robust hardware is designed for fast integration with minimal vehicle downtime.

Yes. D4T is developed for harsh industrial conditions such as vibration, dust, changing light conditions and varied weather.

Daisy Portal & data

All data is collected in the Daisy platform. Through one dashboard, users get access to real-time monitoring, reports, trends, maps and historical analyses.

Among other things, the platform provides insight into contamination levels, waste streams, hotspots, customer performance, real-time fleet information, operational KPIs and historical trends.

Yes. The Daisy platform can be linked to existing ERP and other software systems, so data is easily integrated into existing processes.

Yes. D4T is developed in line with applicable privacy legislation. The technology focuses on waste detection and operational insights and only processes relevant data.

Who it is for

D4T is developed for waste collectors, intermunicipal companies, recycling companies, industrial waste collectors, local governments and smart city organisations that want to work in a data-driven way.

Absolutely. With D4T, Rematics helps local authorities and intermunicipal companies understand waste streams better, increase recycling and back up policy decisions with data.

D4T from Rematics automates and improves visual inspection, reduces administrative tasks, delivers objective data and supports targeted customer conversations. As a result, processes become more efficient and sorting quality rises.

Yes. By making objective data available per customer, location or collection round, you gain valuable insights in both the short and long term. Targeted awareness campaigns and customer advice can be set up and monitored.

Rematics & support

Today, D4T runs every day on more than 50 refuse trucks in Belgium and the Netherlands, at intermunicipal companies such as Limburg.net and private collectors such as Remondis, Gielen, Afval Alternatief and Milieu Service Nederland. Thanks to our partnership with MOBA, we are also growing internationally, with pilot projects under way in Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom and Singapore.

Send an email to info@rematics.be or create a ticket via the contact form on our website. Our support team will follow up on your question quickly and will think along for a solution.
