Rematics is a Belgian technology company founded in 2023 that develops digital solutions to make waste collection smarter, safer and more sustainable.
We believe better insights lead to better decisions. With smart computer vision, we analyse waste streams during collection and help organisations optimise their processes, improve sorting behaviour and get more value out of waste.
By combining in-depth knowledge of the waste sector with technological expertise, we build solutions that are not only innovative but also work reliably in the challenging reality of waste collection. Local impact is our foundation. International scalability is our ambition.

From idea to international breakthrough
2020
Valipac explores how technology can help recover more recyclable materials from residual waste and improve sorting behaviour.
2021
Feasibility studies and proofs of concept by specialists from Valipac and ACA Group show that automatic waste recognition during collection is possible.
2023
Rematics is founded with the support of ACA Group and MyCSN. Bram Peetermans takes on the role of CEO.
2024
The first employees join the team and the first vehicles are equipped with the technology.
2025
D4T is rolled out at several public and private waste collectors. The first large-scale field applications deliver valuable insights and quickly turn D4T into a fully-fledged solution.
2026
A strategic partnership with MOBA marks the next step in the national and international growth of Rematics.
What we believe in
At Rematics, we believe insight is the key to better sorting behaviour and a circular economy. Although Europe has set ambitious recycling targets, large amounts of valuable raw materials still disappear into residual waste today. That means missed recycling opportunities, higher processing costs and a greater environmental impact.
We are convinced that objective data can make the difference. By making waste streams more visible and digitising data, we help waste collectors, recycling companies and local authorities steer more precisely, recycle better and organise their operations more efficiently.
