Rematics handles your personal data with care. Here you can read which data we collect through www.rematics.be, why we do so and what rights you have.

Who is responsible?

Rematics BV is responsible for processing the personal data we collect through this website. We process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian privacy legislation.

What data do we collect?

We only process data that you provide to us yourself or that is needed for the website to work properly:

  • Contact form and demo requests: your name, company name, email address, phone number, your message and any attachments.
  • Appointments: your contact details and the time slot you choose when you book an introductory meeting through the website.
  • Newsletter: your email address when you subscribe.
  • Support requests: your contact details and the information you include in a ticket.
  • Job applications: your CV, cover letter and contact details when you apply for a job or send an open application.
  • Website use: technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit.

Why do we use your data?

  • To answer your question and get in touch with you, for example after a demo request. We do this on the basis of pre-contractual measures and our legitimate interest.
  • To support customers and follow up on support requests, in performance of our agreement.
  • To send our newsletter based on your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
  • To assess job applications on the basis of pre-contractual measures and, if we keep your application for longer, your consent.
  • To improve and secure the website using visitor statistics, based on our legitimate interest and, for analytics cookies, your consent.

We never sell your data to third parties and do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who do we share your data with?

We only share your data with partners who help us deliver our services. They process your data solely on our behalf:

  • Odoo SA (Belgium): hosting of the website and our customer management system.
  • Google Ireland Ltd: Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Plausible Insights (EU): privacy-friendly visitor statistics without cookies.

If data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, for example to Google, this only happens with appropriate safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We also share data when the law requires us to.

Cookies

Our website uses functional cookies that are needed for the site to work. Analytics cookies and embedded third-party content, such as YouTube, only load after you accept them via the cookie bar. You can find more information in our cookie policy.

How long do we keep your data?

We do not keep your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which we collected it:

  • Contact and customer data: for as long as there is an open question or business relationship, and afterwards for as long as statutory retention periods require.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Job applications: until the end of the selection procedure. With your consent, we keep your application for longer for future vacancies.

D4T data

This privacy policy covers our website. For the images and data that D4T processes on behalf of customers, Rematics acts as a processor. The arrangements in the agreement with that customer apply.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The website uses a secure connection (HTTPS) and only authorised staff have access to your data.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or have it deleted. You can also ask us to restrict processing, object to processing or have your data transferred. Did you give consent? You can withdraw it at any time.

Send your request to info@rematics.be. We will reply within one month. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to confirm your identity.

Not satisfied with how we handle your data? You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).

Changes

We may update this privacy policy, for example when our website or the law changes. You will always find the latest version on this page.
